Since commencing operations in 2001, we have developed an extensive portfolio of more than 150 prescription and over the counter (OTC) consumer medicine brands, spanning a wide range of therapeutic areas. Aspen operates one of Australia’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Our TGA and GMP licensed site produces prescription and OTC medicines, as well as medical devices, for both domestic and export markets.

Aspen Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Limited, headquartered in Durban, South Africa. With a 170-year heritage, Aspen Holdings is a global specialty and branded pharmaceutical company, committed to improving patient health in more than 115 countries through its high-quality, affordable medicines.

What We Do

Aspen Australia began in 2001 as a start-up with just two employees and a $10 million product portfolio. We expanded into New Zealand in 2003, and since then, have acquired and launched numerous brands—both prescription medicines and over the counter consumer health brands. Today, we are a leading pharmaceutical sales, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution company in Australia and New Zealand, employing ~600 people.

Our world-class factory in Dandenong, Victoria, produces Aspen owned products, as well as contract manufacturing for other companies.
